TARA (STAR, or DROLMA in TIBETAN ), goddess of protection and compassion, is the primary female deity in the Tibetan Buddhist Pantheon, and one of then most worshipped deities in Tibet. She is saluted in this mantra as the noble, exalted liberator, and as the swift and glorious liberator, she is the deity who grants success by removing obsatcles and fulfilling good intentions.
Green Tara, is the Goddess of the earth who overcomes obstacles and saves people from danger. Green Tara is Tara's most dynamic manifestation. Her color symbolizes youthful vigor and activity. The followers of Green Tara believe that her special powers will help overcome dangers, fears, and anxieties, and that she grant wishes. Representing active compassion, she is partiicularly worshipped for her ability to overcome the most difficult situations.
Her mantra "OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SVAHA" I one of the most widely--used mantras in tibetan buddhism. it works to liberate one from all fears, to remove obstacles, and to facilitate good intentions for the world. It is an extremely powerful mantra and is said to help with the well being of the world in general.
