The tantra of the Glorious Secret Essence (the Guhyagarbha Tantra) primarily belongs to the category of Mahayoga. It is taught that this Secret Essence Tantra extracts the essence of the eighteen Mahayoga tantras as well as being the general tantra of enlightened mind.
