The sariras described here are a gift from Lama Jigme Chödrak so that we can continue to support Lama Löden's Buddhist and humanitarian projects. This particular sarira also supports Lama Löden's refugee aid program.
The named rings (Tibetan name for sariras) are from a clay vessel with various relics of Buddha Shakyamuni from Bodhgaya - the lama told us that they are so-called "Buddha Shakyamuni tear sariras" that are associated with Buddha's goodness and all-encompassing compassion. According to legend, Buddha cried when he was told of the death of his son Rahula, and these tears dried into diamond-like drops. The rust-red, very small (each minimally smaller than 1mm) sariras visible here formed from these. Sometimes larger sariras form from them - three of them are visible in the picture here - these are called "Rahula sariras".
These Sariras are very, very rare and are considered to be extraordinarily blessed and are over 2560 years old.
Lama Löden and Lama Jigme Chödrak expressly guarantee their authenticity.
Supplied in a small jewelry box. A truly absolutely powerful gift for the altar or statue, the Sangha or a spiritual teacher.
According to the Lama's explanations, there are 108 different Sariras from Buddha Shakyamuni himself!
The Sariras (approx. 10-12 of the smaller Sariras) are delivered in an acrylic box. Packaging may differ from the picture
