Hello. My name is Martin Schwarzwälder. I work since 1989 with Buddhism and Tibet. In the same year I was able to experience how the Dalai Lama received the Nobel Peace Prize. In 1990 I met my first Buddhist teacher Dagyab Rinpoche. In 1992, I`ve moved to Hamburg to Tibetan Buddhism under Geshe Thubten Ngawang seven years of systematic scholarly studies in Tibetan Center Hamburg to study. In later years I have received from many teachers and masters of different traditions many teaching. From 1992-1995 I worked for the first time in a bookstore in the Tibetan Center Hamburg. That was my first experience in the book trade, which I never let go, but it was still a long road with many detours and obstacles to own the present bookstore.
The mid-nineties I made several trips to India and Nepal, where I deepened my practice, among other things, I made my ngöndro at the stupa in Boudhanath, Kathmandu. When I met by my second Travel many Buddhist artists and dealers. These contacts led me in 1999, my first company "Himalaya Enterprises" open and distribute them through art from Nepal and India. In addition, I led from 2003 to 2007 the bookshop in the Tibetan Center Hamburg and assumed additional tasks.
The biggest event in the context of this activity was for me to organize the bookstore in the one week teachings of the Dalai Lama in the summer of 2007 in Hamburg along with many volunteers. The numerous personal conversations have given me an idea of how many interesting and interested people are sympathetic to Buddhism and committed to the cause of Tibet. In this spiritual community, I am also encouraged to continue my activities and encouraged.
In the fall of 2007 I moved to Saarbrücken. There was - in addition to the operation of this Internet portal - to December 2007, to open the store "Fachbuchhandlung Tsongkang"in Saarbruecken. ( Tsongkang is Tibetan and means literally: tsong means buying and kang means house. So its a house where you can buying like Dharma-Store.
Best wishes Martin Schwarzwälder
